Pascal Broulis, Chairman of the Board of Directors of Y-PARC Swiss Technopole SA, has announced the appointment of Karen Undritz as Director of Y-PARC Swiss Technopole SA with effect from 1 February 2024.
This appointment is the result of a call for applications for the position last summer. A total of 158 applications of good to very good quality were received and reviewed. A selection committee of the Board of Directors, made up of Pascal Broulis - Chairman, Vincent Dessenne - Vice-Chairman representing the companies in the Park, Pierre Dessemontet - Mayor of Yverdon-les-Bains and Philippe Pont - Acting Director, examined in detail around twenty excellent applications. In the end, the Board focused on two people. Passionate about innovation, entrepreneurship and economic development, Ms Undritz recently completed an EMBA in Management and Corporate Finance at HEC Lausanne. This enabled her to build on her 16 years of professional experience in three sectors. Firstly, 3 years in the public-diplomatic sector at swissnex in Asia, then 6 years in the academic sector at EHL and EPFL, promoting partnerships. Finally, she worked for 7 years in the private sector as Head of Business Development in a start-up at the EPFL Innovation Park, and is currently working for Crédit Suisse SA (Switzerland) as Head of Sales Management for SMEs in French-speaking Switzerland and for the start-up segment in Switzerland. Ms Undritz looks forward to contributing to the long-term development of Y-PARC Swiss Technopole SA with the existing team, the members of the Board of Directors, current and future residents and key partners. The Board of Directors is delighted to be able to count on her expertise and intends to pursue the Park's development intensively by creating favourable conditions for hosting and supporting SMEs, thereby contributing to the Canton's economic development.
