Innovaud’s main priorities include:
Innovaud helps boost financial support for economic development, and serves as a point of entry for applicants seeking grants and loans from the Foundation for Technological Innovation – the FIT (fondation-fit.ch). Innovaud also offers advice on financing strategies and facilitates meetings with business angels, venture capital funds and other sources of investment.
Innovaud provides access to various networks of accredited business coaches or advisors who can offer support to companies free of charge, including Innosuisse Startup Coaching, platinn and Alliance. These coaches or advisors support entrepreneurs in areas including strategy and business models, partnerships with research institutes, organization and financing.
Innovaud showcases projects as well as companies and their achievements through several channels (newsletters, social networking sites and events).
Innovaud makes it possible to secure the ideal premises in innovation parks and incubators. Special working relationships have been forged with the
six Vaud technopoles (the EPFL Innovation Park, the Biopôle, the Y-Parc, TecOrbe, the Technopôle de Sainte-Croix and the Ateliers de Renens) and their affiliated research institutes.
Innovaud offers direct interaction with the right partners to drive innovation, and provides access to a vast network of agencies active in supporting innovation and to an ecosystem of innovative companies in the region.

In 2016, Innovaud created the Scale Up Vaud certification to encourage and strengthen innovative high-growth businesses established in the canton of Vaud. These scale-ups need to create at least 20% more new jobs every year to benefit from the certification, and in return they can rely on support that is specifically adapted to this phase in their growth, regardless of their field of specialization.
Scale Up Vaud is designed to act as a catalyst for a dynamic and innovative economy in the canton. It enjoys the support of various partners including platinn, Alliance, Switzerland Global Enterprise (S-GE), and the Vaud Chamber of Commerce and Industry (CVCI).
